1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Loomscript ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Loomscript is a native macOS application that enables authors to generate, edit, and manage long-form text content using locally-running AI models via Ollama. The App uses a multi-agent architecture (Writer, Editor, Producer) and provides features including Story Codex, RAG context, and export to PDF and EPUB. All AI processing occurs on your device; no manuscript data is sent to the cloud.

3. Local Processing and Privacy

Loomscript is designed for complete on-device operation. Your manuscripts, characters, and project data remain on your Mac. The App uses Ollama, which you install and run locally. We do not collect, store, or transmit your writing content.

4. Subscription and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription (Pro Monthly or Pro Yearly). Subscriptions are purchased through the Mac App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. You may manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Generate or distribute harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive content
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures or access restrictions

6. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Loomscript shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the preceding 12 months.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms at loomscript.com/terms. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
