Loomscript is designed for complete on-device operation. Your manuscripts, characters, locations, plot threads, and all project data remain on your Mac. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to your writing. AI processing runs locally via Ollama—nothing is sent to the cloud.
1. What We Collect
We collect minimal information:
- App Store: If you subscribe via the Mac App Store, Apple processes the payment. We receive only anonymized purchase receipts for entitlement verification.
- Crash reports: If you opt in, Apple may collect crash and diagnostic data through App Store distribution.
We do not collect your manuscripts, project data, or any content you create in the App.
2. What We Don't Do
We are committed to your privacy. We do NOT:
- Collect, store, or transmit your manuscripts or project data
- Use your content to train AI models
- Share your data with third parties for advertising or analytics
- Track you across other websites or apps
- Require an account for the free tier—your data stays local
3. How Loomscript Works
Loomscript uses Ollama to run AI models on your Mac. Ollama is a separate, open-source application that you install and run locally. All AI processing—writing, editing, embeddings for RAG—happens on your machine. No manuscript text is ever sent to us or any third party.
4. Data Storage
Your projects and manuscripts are stored in the App's local data directory on your Mac. You control this data. Uninstalling the App removes it from your system. We have no access to it.
5. Third-Party Services
Loomscript integrates with Ollama (local) and the Mac App Store (for subscriptions). Apple's privacy policy applies to App Store transactions. We do not use analytics, advertising, or other third-party tracking services.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at loomscript.com/privacy. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
